The King Power Stadium Wedding – Wedding Photographer Leicester King Power Stadium

The beautiful wedding day of Amy and Matt at the wonderful venue – The King Power Football Stadium in Leicester.
In June 2018 this beautiful couple said I Do. I know its taken me awhile to write this blog post about their special wedding day but here it is. Amy and Matt were amazing on their pre-wedding photo session, I couldn’t wait for their wedding day to come around to capture every moment for them. The wedding day all started at Amy’s house for bridal prep – a busy household with mum, sister and nieces all there to get ready, not including hair and makeup artist along with myself, such a busy house! Mother of the bride was on hand for tea’s and coffee’s as well as getting breakfast sorted for everyone. Amy asked prior to the wedding if I wanted a sausage sandwich as her mum was going to be making them for breakfast. Regardless of a busy household everyone was still quite calm and having a great morning getting ready. In the morning, this is the time when the bride is most anxious and stressed because of this I usually take myself off upstairs out the way to photograph important parts such as wedding dress, wedding shoes and jewellery etc then head downstairs and capture the natural moments of the bride and everyone else getting ready. At this point the bride has usually relaxed a little, maybe had a drink or two to calm the nerves. Amy didn’t drink too much in the morning and she didn’t start until later on closer to herself getting ready, she was more worried about making sure her nieces were occupied enough in the morning.
Once bride is prepped, the last part I photograph before heading over to the next venue is putting on of the wedding dress. A special moment that I always love capturing for every bride of mine. A moment between the bride and her mum or best friends, in that moment phrases that are often said are “be careful with my dress” and “it needs to be tighter”. As much as bridal shops help with explaining and showing how to do up the wedding dress by the time comes round to actually doing it, it is generally forgotten. Amy thanked me for being there and helping with the wedding dress – as always I’m there to help make the day a little bit less stressful and help in any way I possibly can. It’s always the moment of putting on the wedding dress that makes the bride realise its actually her wedding day and one of the biggest days of her life.
Amy and Matt had their wedding ceremony at The King Power Football Stadium in Leicester, even though neither were really great football fans it was still an amazing day from start to finish. You can see the love on their faces throughout the whole day. After bridal prep I headed over to the King Power Stadium for a wonderful wedding day, with the groom anxiously waiting for his bride to arrive. The ceremony room and wedding breakfast room both high up its a good job the elevators worked, that’s all I’m saying. The ceremony just around the corner with time ticking away, bride and groom both had their meetings with the registrars and ready to say I do. I did have to laugh to myself during the ceremony because the registrars didn’t exactly get the vows in the right order but never the less they was said and wedding rings were exchanged. A quick kiss as husband and wife and down the aisle ready to head outside for some family portraits and confetti. Shortly after this, the bride and groom and myself along with parents headed around the stadium for a tour – now I’m not one really for football myself but the tour was amazing, seeing the changing rooms and the size of the wash room and how they plan for a game. They allowed us to take photos of the bride and groom both in the changing room and just on the edge of the pitch which was fantastic. It was for sure a true experience! After the tour of the football grounds and stadium we headed to sit down for the wedding breakfast, followed by speeches. As always after dinner and speeches I take the bride and groom off for some portraits, as there isn’t much grounds as in gardens at the King Power Stadium in Leicester we previously discussed about a location close by about 5-10 minute drive, both Amy and Matt got in my car and we headed to the gardens for a stroll and some romantic time together for some beautiful wedding portraits. To end the day as always there’s cutting the cake and the first dance before everyone parties hard and I head to bed.
