Staffordshire and Leicester Wedding Photographer
Hey, let’s start this off with – I’m a sucker for a proposal! 🙂 Engagement’s and weddings – I’m there. I’m sure by now you all know just how much I love weddings, love stories, and happy endings. Honestly, I have the most wonderful and magical job in the world. I’m sure you want to get stuck in and know just how Laura and Jesse got engaged.
In the year 2019 – when the world was completely normal, you could travel to places; and enjoy going out. Jesse and Laura booked to go to Disney World in Florida. September 2019 – the month of both their birthdays, what a fantastic time to go away to Disney to celebrate. Birthday celebrations weren’t the only thing Jesse had in mind – he didn’t tell any of the family that he planned to ask Laura to marry him – a complete surprise for all.
Not going to lie; he did darn good when it came to ring choice! I’m not sure how he managed to keep the ring safe and hidden away from Laura the whole time until he proposed. Jesse proposed a few days into the two-week holiday – he popped the question in the hotel at Disney World after having a day at the Typhoon Lagoon waterpark. That night they got dressed up and went into Epcot to watch the fireworks – they then had dinner in the Hibachi restaurant.
After all of that, I’m sure they enjoyed the rest of the holiday – well, I can imagine Jesse was a lot more relaxed knowing he got the proposal out of the way. I couldn’t wait to get Jesse and Laura booked in for an engagement portrait session. Laura wanted Calke Abbey – in Derbyshire. Calke Abbey has such a rustic feel to it; We did photos all around Calke Abbey – we used different sections of the grounds it created a stunning backdrop for Jesse and Laura’s engagement portraits.
This isn’t the first time Jesse and Laura have had a portrait session booked in with me. Previously we have used Calke Abbey for the couple portraits – they decided it would be great to use the Abbey and have it in the photos. So they paid for us all to enter – we had the grounds practically to ourselves for that part of the portrait session. This time around – we just used the main grounds. It was a busy day and had lots of visitors. The lovely sun shining along with all the autumn colours on the trees. Laura loves autumn, and with how the wedding planning is going, I know the wedding is going to be an autumn theme. They have already booked the wedding day for October 2021, and I for one can not wait to photograph it and share with you all the stunning wedding day.
Jesse and Laura have booked the stunning Donington Park Farmhouse Hotel for their wedding day. I love when I get to photograph weddings at this venue. We have already spoken about wedding plans, I know the venue will look stunning because of Laura’s plans for not only the aisle but the tables too. Lanterns and candles down the aisle and pinecones and other autumn items for the tables. I now can not wait to photograph their wedding day.
Thanks for stopping by 🙂
