Family Portrait Photographer – The Outwoods, Loughborough
I met Laura and Nigel and their beautiful little boy at The Outwoods in Loughborough, Leicestershire when covid restrictions were eased. Laura wanted the family portraits taken within The Outwoods park, a place I hadn’t yet photographed at. I always look forward to being able to photograph at new locations, so many wonderful places in the world that has yet to be seen by many of us.
As soon as I met all three of them, Laura showed me her baby bump, another bundle of joy on the way – so soon to be four of them. At the family portrait session, Laura was only in the first trimester, now she’s quite a way through I can’t wait to get them booked in for more family portraits. Teddy was so good for the family photos, and super brilliant for his portraits too.
Even though we were still under some restrictions because of the covid pandemic there were still a few people out on their daily winter walk. A chilly walk-out but a beautiful family day with memories captured along the way. Teddy had turned one, and because of the covid pandemic, Laura and Nigel hadn’t managed to get any photos of him not professionally anyway. Laura and Nigel were also due to get married, however again because of the ongoing pandemic they had to postpone their wedding day to later on in the year. Fingers crossed their wedding goes ahead this year for them all to enjoy. As always on a family portrait session, I love to be able to get a good mixture of images for them all. One Laura told me she wanted was Teddy to have the autumn leaves thrown over him and up in the air, this is why we booked the session for the autumn time to get a photo like this. Unfortunately, Laura and Nigel don’t allow photos of Teddy to be shown, not with the face showing anyway – so I am limited to what I can show you on this blog post. I can however show off the stunning images of Laura and Nigel together – we did a little pre-wedding, engagement photo session so they had some of the two of them before their wedding day. A little bit of practice never hurts anyone. I’m so glad I got to photograph this beautiful family and capture some truly special moments for them, moments that they and the rest of the family will treasure.
This is the reason I love capturing family portraits, these moments are truly and utterly the most precious moments. We can never get back time, once time has passed, we can never get it back, it’s incredibly important to make sure you truly make the most of those family days, the days off, the long and cold walks, as these are the moments we cherish forever and a day. If the covid pandemic has taught us all anything, it’s that we only need each other, family, and a few close friends to keep us going, we don’t need much to enjoy time with one another.
I’m glad I can share these few images from the day – I’d love to show you ones of Teddy on his own, but I have to respect my client’s wishes. Now that the lockdown is easing, I can now re-open and book more family portrait session’s outdoors – if you would like more information, or would like to book in, please pop me an email by contacting me.
Thanks for stopping by 🙂
See you soon.
