Family Portrait Photographer – Beacon Hill, Leicestershire
Another day, another blog post. I’m getting back into the swing of blogging. I’m glad you are here reading this post about Skye & Brad’s family portrait photography session. Where to start – well Skye and I are the same age, we both went to school together and were in the same classes for subjects we chose for our GCSEs. I have fond memories of our Health and Social Care classes 🙂
I’m so glad when Skye wanted to book me for her family portrait photos. Little Freddie was turning one soon, and because of the covid pandemic happening in 2020 they hadn’t managed to get any family portraits of them when Freddie was smaller. I’m glad that when the lockdown restrictions eased and I was allowed to work that we could capture some beautiful photos and wonderful memories for them and their family.
I love nothing more than being able to photograph families, because then everyone is in the picture – not just mum or not just dad. When you grow up and look back, just how many photos do you have as a family? I know for my own family, we don’t. Sure, many nowadays do selfies – my family, however, is one that doesn’t. This is exactly why I love what I do. I love that I get to capture memories to last a lifetime, and I love that photos will get passed down the generations.
Skye and Brad booked their family portrait photography session for Beacon Hill; I love this location – it has so many photo opportunities; I know that every family photo session is different. The weather was kind to us, with some beautiful sunshine throughout the portraits. During any family portrait photos that I have booked, I make sure I capture a variety of images for the family. As you can see from the images on this page, there are family portraits and then there are photos of just Freddie on his own – I then love to make sure mum has a lovely photo of her and Freddie and the same again but with dad – I love giving both mum and dad some beautiful photos of just them and their little one. As you can see Freddie loved playtime with daddy, he sure loved being thrown in the air. Freddie was soon laughing his little head off at daddy.
Freddie’s smile is just adorable, so cheeky. How can you not smile when you look at Freddie’s beautiful smile in these photos? I love my job and all that it involves, including getting on the ground to get the right angle – even in wet weather. During any family photos – I always tell parents to bring some toys along just in case they are needed to help settle little ones. The toys help them look in the direction needed for the family photos, but they also help when I don’t want posed photos. When I did the images of just Freddie on his own, I wanted him to be relaxed and happy – him having his toys help capture those natural playing moments with big smiles.
I’m looking forward to when Freddie is a little older – I can’t wait to capture some more beautiful family photos for Skye and Brad.
Thanks for stopping by 🙂
